Necklace Pectoral Fin
Necklace Pectoral Fin
SALES IN EUROPE ONLY
One of the most distinctive features of humpback whales that sets them apart from other whales is their large pectoral fin, which can reach up to one-third of their body length (around 5 metres). This is accurately depicted in this piece, featuring sharply defined serrated sides. On the back of the piece, there is a representation of the bubble net created by humpbacks as part of one of their hunting strategies, known as the Fibonacci Spiral. This impressive cooperative feeding technique is used by some populations to encircle schools of fish and achieve success in feeding.
Necklace in 950 recycled silver.
